Hello Girls and Guys!
We returned home safe and sound on Mondaymorning 04.25 hrs. 1.527 km
in one go, in stead of during 3 days.
Once we started our horses in Barcelona, and turned their noses into
the direction home, they wouldn't stop.
For Els and myself an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Already we
had seen so many beautiful things, and had so many pleasant
experiences, that it will take long time get our heads back in
normal working order.
After a short rest we both like to thank all of you for the friendly
words, and smiles, and gestures. Sweet memories are made out of
such. And we have lots of them to last lifetime.
We also like to thank Geert and his team for the incredible amount
of work and fierce dedication to pull this thing through.
Those who remember the series about the cattledrives in America some
150 years ago "Rawhide" may know that Clint Eastwood became famous
with his role as foreman Rowdy Yates, and also may know that the
name of the trailboss was Gil Favor.
As a first evaluation of the past 2 weeks it is fair to state that
Geert has done all the participants a favour by pushing through his
initiative of the European Posse Ride.
In my book he is noted as Geert "Favor" van Gyseghem forthwith.
By the way, the cook's name was Wishbone.
And I wish that Geert can find the time and possibility to organize
a second Ride.
I know that my horse is ready for it.
With love from Holland,
Els and Charles

I would like
to add a special thanks to Geert and his team for a job well done.
Organizing any tour of this nature, size and length is not easy.
They faced many challenges and roadblocks along the way and yet
still managed to deliver a memorable experience for everyone.
In HOG we have many resources available to us which makes our lives
a little easier. The Posse Ride did not have that luxury but still
managed to deliver a package and experience of this very caliber.
The commitment and dedication of people like Geert and his team to
events such as these is what makes HOG such a wonderful thing.
Thanks guys great job and hopefully you can have yourself a good
earned rest.

Fellow Posse
Riders,
I am happy to report that the Yanks has returned safely to the
States. Although a little tired and jet lagged, we are much richer
for the experience and we now have many new friends around the
world. Thanks so much to the incredible posse team. I hope that the
experience was as rewarding as all the effort that went into it. And
thanks to all my fellow posse riders. Each of you brought a special
ingredient to the adventure.
I have posted my photos at www.myspace.com/cybrdyke . Feel free to
go there to see them. You may need to sign up for an account, but
it’s free so no worries.
Ride safely my friends so that we can ride again in the future.

(Rally Coördinator)
Dear Posse
Riders, Nigel,
I have to thank in the first place the whole team who made this
first European Posse Ride a success. Each of them have contributed
to the success.
We may not forget all the chapters that helped us out and have made
this Ride to a real HOG event, Thank you all again. Also HOG Europe
has to be thanked for their support.
We hope to have given the participants a splendid holliday and have
shown them how beautifull and different Europe is as well as the
harley-spirit in Europe.
I have felt the real HOG spirit all the time, people from 20
countries riding together, sharing the problems on the road, helping
each other and enjoying a fine beer afterwards, the fun they
had,....
I want to thank them for their spirit and all the fine moments we
have had together. I may say they all became friends, and I hope to
see them again.
We will evaluate this Ride and use our experiences in the future.
Ride safe and always have fun,
Geert

I just wanted
to say a BIG thank you to everyone involved in the EPR.
Organization, participants, chapters, dealers (except Carlos, the
Luxembourg dealer, obviosly....) and every single person who has had
something to do with making this dream come true.
It's been a tremendous pleasure living this experience. I loved
every single minute, every single road and every single moment. I
have learned a lot of things, I have known very special people and I
have drunk a lot of beer. All of this (except the beer....) makes me
a better person, and a better biker.
Hope to see you all again. Back on the road.
Keep on riding.
Lucas
(on behalf of all the Spanish team...)

Hi everyone…
I would like to add my thanks to Geert and the rest of the
organising team for what must be one of the greatest bike adventures
I’ve been on (so far..!) I look forward to meeting up with you all
again in the future.
Kindest Regards
John Houlihan
* Alan
Budzynski (Participant Scotland)
Hi Posse
riders
As the Sheriff of the Scottish posse and on behalf of all my
deputies I would like to thank all those who worked so hard to make
the trip what it was….a fantastic adventure….yes it was hard on some
days but who thought it was going to be easy??? Visiting 12
countries (I include Scotland and England which we passed through)
in 20 days and traveling over 7000 kilometers on our bikes was an
experience that I and my team will never forget.
Over the past 15 years I have had the pleasure of arranging trips
for my Chapter and club members (but nothing on such a grand scale)
and I know how difficult all the logistics can be. Geert and his
team made the whole thing look easy which is testament to the hard
work and preparation they obviously put in.
Congratulations and thanks to them all
Would I do it again?
YOU BET !!
Alan Budzynski and the Scottish Deputies

Colleen Middleton (Participants Canada)
Dear Posse
Riders
We arrived back in Canada on the 18th of July after a wonderful
holiday with all of you. Our sincere thanks to Geert and his team,
you did a fantastic job of organizing the first European Posse Ride.
We hope you are now getting some much deserved rest. We feel
fortunate to have met so many wonderful people from all over the
world and to have shared such a great experience with all of you.
Love, Don and Colleen Middleton
* Paulette
Benning & Blair Sharpe (Participants Canada)
A big HELLO
to all our fellow European Posse Riders. By now, I would expect that
we have all returned to our homes and ‘ordinary’ lives! It is quite
an adjustment after so many thrills, adventures, laughs and good
times. We have so many new experiences and stories to share after
such a ride!
Thank you one and all for what is surely ...THE RIDE OF A
LIFETIME...THE FIRST EUROPEAN POSSE RIDE.
Until we meet again....keep on smiling and live life to the fullest
on your Harleys!!
Paulette Benning and Blair Sharpe....CANADA.
* Dave &
Hillary Whinray (Participants United Kingdom)
A great big
THANKYOU to Geert and the team for such a memorable Posse ride,
definitely the ride of a lifetime (so far) – who knows what they
will think up next to challenge us! Having planned rides I (Dave)
appreciate the staggering amount of preparation and detailed
planning you have done to make the ride so successful.
We would also like to thank the Chapters that supported us with
their guidance, escorts and parties, and the dealers that helped
with their support and emergency repairs. Most of all, the Posse
riders, what a fantastic set of people, one could not wish to meet a
group more dedicated riders, both to riding and après riding fun.
We are finding it very hard to settle back into normal life and are
in danger of becoming EPR bores. It’s amazing how quickly the hard
bits get forgotten in the retelling of what was simply the best ride
ever!
Ride safe
Dave & Hilary Whinray
* Mick &
Sandra Hodgetts (Participants United Kingdom)
I would also
like to convey my gratitude, to all who participated in the
organising of this huge task.
I know patience got a little stretched at times, on the long and
testing days, but the determination shone through.
I would like to express my admiration to the ladies, who completed
the whole trip and had to travel a very long way home in the
process.
The memories that were created will last us a very long time, and I
hope to cross paths with you all again someday.
From the one with the Stetson ( now lost in Barcelona somewhere, the
Stetson that is).
Thank You ,Thank Ya very Much
Mick and Sandra Hodgetts
* Claude &
Brigitte Martz (Participants France)
Hi Posse
Riders,
Claude and I are safe at home. And now, I want to thank all the
people who organized this big adventure, the chapters who came with
us (with special thanks for the Treviso Chapter for all they made
for us), the HOG.... and everybody on this trip.
The trip was hard so I'm very proud to be a Posse rider. I will
remember this ride for a long time.
I would be able to write more but english language is not an
evidence for me. Sorry !!
Ride safe and see you again on the road

Hello
Posse-riders
On thursday
we arrived back in our home
What a
great tour and experience we had
We
toured the States a few times and been to Australia also, but we
never knew how beautiful Europe could be.
Especially France fascinated us a lot. The European Grand Canyon was
unknown to us and it was fabulous.
We took a lot of beautiful impressions with us back home and will
often think back to those great times we had on the Posse Ride.
A great team and great travelling partners.
We wish to
express our thanks to the team who made this dream possible.
Geert, Annick we wish you all the best in the world and a good
health.
Maybe we'll
meet again along the road.
Sweet
greetings
